Interview with the hairdresser-hair stylist -Tatiana Walter about hairdressing, career and tips for novice hairdressers.

How did you come to your profession?
I have been in the profession since 1994. My path in the profession began on the advice of my mother, she is also a hairdresser. I didn’t know that there was a specialized college and studied with a master. I had my first diploma of the Work Training Centre. I started working in one of the best salons in Astrakhan, the Public Service Centre “Crystal”. This required development and I went to study at Lyceum No. 17 (now the College of Art – fashion Technologies) for a stylist, later I graduated from another technical school as a hairdresser technologist. Then there was the international school “Pivot Point”, where I confirmed the status of a stylist. My profession is constant learning and development. I opened my first hair salon in 1996. This was a forced measure, as the Public Service Centre was closed for reconstruction for an indefinite time.

What advice would you give to people who have chosen this profession?
Advice to those who want to go into the beauty industry. It’s hard work and going into a beautiful business you have to be physically healthy, hardy, stress-resistant, positive, creative and easy-going. It is also necessary to love learning, because now the profession is moving forward, studying geometry, chemistry, the basics of composition, coloristics and much more.
What result do you want to achieve by the end of your career (what do you dream about?)
What do I want to achieve in the end? Everyone tells me that I have a big salon. But it’s only 100 sq.m. and 15 employees))). And I dream of a giant beauty space with a team of 100 people and branches in other countries. In any case, everyone knows that Walter is a brand of quality in the provision of hairdressing services and training in hairdressing.
